WELCOME TO BLASFORD HILL

Blasford Hill Fishery is a day ticket venue located in Essex between Broomfield and Little Waltham in the Chelmer Valley. The fishery consists of two lakes and around 600 yards of the river Chelmer.

As has been stated many times before about specific lakes or fisheries “sometimes it’s a case of just being there”. Blasford hill is one of those fisheries, where you can switch off and enjoy the atmosphere whilst trying to get that next bite.

The main lake is about 4 acres in size. It is a mature established lake that would not look out of character as an estate lake. It has trees, islands, reedy bays and lilli pads. The lake is stocked with carp to 35lb Tench to over 7lb, Pike to 26lb, Crucians.

The match lake has 22 pegs and is heavily stocked with Carp, Perch, Roach, Rudd and Bream. The match lake can be booked for private matches where match weights can go to over 200+ pounds.

We also offer a private stretch of the River Chelmer where you can purchase a day ticket for £8.

Whilst we do not offer a tutoring service. We are always happy to offer advice with regards the fishery and tactics. A bailiff will be on hand to answer any questions.

Rules are available on the main lake and match lake pages.

Parking is available on site. Portable toilets are also situated onsite and are cleaned regularly. Please leave them as you would expect to find them.

We are very busy on social media and post news and catches on Facebook. If you would like to keep up with this type of information you can like our Facebook page via the top or bottom of the website. If you wish to contact us with any questions please do not hesitate to use our contact form.

OUR PHILOSOPHY: BLASFORD HILL FISHERY IS A PLACE WHERE ANGLERS CAN COME TO NOT ONLY ENJOY THE FISHING BUT ALSO ENJOY THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY OF THE FISHERY AND THE COUNTRYSIDE THAT SURROUNDS THE LAKES AND RIVER.
